Mary Callahan Erdoes is the CEO of asset and wealth management at JPMorgan Chase, Abigail Johnson is the chair and CEO of Fidelity Investments, and Jenny Johnson is the president and CEO of Franklin Templeton, to name just a few. These women, along with 22 others, are on this year's Most Powerful Women in Finance list.

At the top of this year's list is Hope Holding Bryant, vice chair of First Citizens. After Silicon Valley Bank collapsed in March 2023 amid a broader banking crisis, Bryant played a key role in First Citizen's acquisition of SVB. The women on this year's list lead banks, spearhead diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, help clients invest, and prevent cyberattacks and fraud.

Each year, we honor five teams in banking that have collectively faced and conquered tough challenges. This year, the enterprise payments team at Citizens worked to establish the bank as a leader in payments and invested in payments technology that would benefit all of its business lines. Meanwhile, the integration team at BMO onboarded 2 million Bank of the West clients after last year's acquisition, and completed more than 1,500 requirements to unify 330 systems.
